↪ Preparatory work for the 4th United Nations Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4, July 2025): publications and organisation of sessions during UN preparatory committees.
↪ Contribution to key strategic conferences, in particular at the United Nations (Future Summit, Forum on Least Developed Countries – LDCs, COP) and the Finance in Common Summit (FiCS 2025). Through its participation in these international events and its publications, FERDI FERDI contributes to updating, strengthening, and promoting arguments for considering vulnerability in aid allocation criteria.
↪ Publication of the book A Global Financing Pact for Poor and Vulnerable Countries? (FERDI, 52 pages), edited by Matthieu Boussichas and Patrick Guillaumont. Foreword by Philippe Le Houérou.
↪ Research on international carbon taxation, which has contributed to global debates, in particular the impact on vulnerable countries of a global maritime carbon tax, with key contributions at COP29 and in academic institutions.
↪ Work on funding accountability and aid effectiveness, including influential work on conditionality mechanisms and resource allocation. See in particular: FERDI B266, Boussichas M., Guillaumont P., Guillaumont Jeanneney S., 2024).
↪ Participation in the One Sustainable Health Working Group, co-chaired by Jacky Mathonnat (FERDI/CERDI) and Agnès Soucat (AFD), as part of the One Sustainable Health Initiative.
↪ Update and expansion of the Public Development Banks Database , in partnership with AFD and Peking University’s INSE. The database includes now financial data on over 536 institutions.
↪ 20th FERDI Anniversary Symposium, February 2024. A progress update on the International Architecture of Development Finance Chair's activities was presented. For the second phase of its chair activities, FERDI is prioritizing four major issues often overlooked in the reform of international development finance: Sustainable resource mobilisation, equitable and efficient allocation between countries, financing entrepreneurship, de-risking for impact, and ensuring the accountability of public commitments.
