Vianney DEQUIEDT

    Biographie

    Vianney Dequiedt is a professor of Economics at the University of Clermont Auvergne and a researcher at the Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches sur le Développement International (CERDI).

    His research interests cover development economics, public economics and game theory. His work has been published in prestigious academic journals such as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Economic Theory and the Journal of Development Economics. 

    He is a graduate from the Ecole Polytechnique, class of 95, and obtained his PhD from the University of Toulouse in 2002. After starting his career as a research fellow at the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique, he joined the CERDI in 2008 as a professor, and as director from 2013 to 2016. He then served as Vice President of Research at the University of Auvergne. He is currently Vice-President Collegiums of the University of Clermont Auvergne. In 2019, he was invited for 6 months to the Middle East and North Africa Department of the World Bank.
