The Global Development Conference 2025 (GDC 2025) organised by the Global Development Network will take place in Clermont-Ferrand, France from October 28 to 30, 2025. It will be co-hosted by the Fondation pour les Études et Recherches sur le Développement International (FERDI) and the Centre d’Études et de Recherches sur le Développement International (CERDI) as part of their collaboration under the Pôle Clermontois de Développement International (PCDI).

On 9 April 2025, the French Development Agency (AFD) visited Clermont-Ferrand in preparation for the upcoming opening of one of its offices within the Clermont-Ferrand International Development Hub. This future presence will strengthen ties between AFD and the region’s academic and research institutions engaged in international development policy.
