Joël Cariolle, chargé de recherche Ferdi, a présenté le papier "From phones to feed: Is mobile connectivity transforming west-African agricultural markets?" (à paraître).

Joel Cariolle, a researcher at Ferdi, was a guest speaker at the conference, kicking off the discussions and taking part in the session on digital finance and entrepreneurship in developing economies.

Invited by the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), Joel Cariolle, Research fellow at FERDI, presented his proposal for a digital vulnerability index.

Yasmine Elkhateeb from the Centre d'Économie de la Sorbonne, Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, and University of Cairo presented the paper titled "(Mis-)Information Technology: Internet Use and Perception of Democracy in Africa". This paper is co-authored with Joël Cariolle of FERDI, and Mathilde Maurel, Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Joël Cariolle (Ferdi) était présent comme panéliste pour une intervention introductive dans le cadre du groupe de travail exécutif sur la Gouvernance du Numérique organisé par l’Organisation internationale de la francophonie (OIF).

Joël Cariolle (FERDI) participated in the Centre for the Study of African Economies (CSAE) Economic Development in Africa Conference held at Oxford University from March 19-21, 2023. He presented his paper co-authored with Camille da Piedade (Cerdi-UCA) "Digital Connectedness and Exports Upgrading: Is Sub Saharan Africa Catching Up?".

FERDI is associated with the event, with the presence of several of its researchers including Rabah Arezki.
