Research seminar organized as part of the Banque de France - Ferdi partnership

The Rector of Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD), Ahmadou Aly Mbaye, visited Clermont-Ferrand on December 9th to meet with members of the Clermont Development Pole (PCDI), FERDI, Cerdi (UCA-CNRS-IRD), and GDN.

On Monday, December 9, 2024, in Tunis, the FERDI hosted an event to present the policy briefs produced by five Tunisian project leaders supported through the Savoirs éco Mentorship Program.

The first annual event of the Savoirs Éco Tunisie project, organized by Expertise France, will take place on Friday, December 6, 2024, in Tunis.

The 2024 edition of the GDN International Conference titled "Global Synergies: Climate Resilience Strategies for a Sustainable Tomorrow" will feature a workshop organized by FERDI.

Florian Léon, a research offiicer at FERDI, will present the paper "Blended Binds: How DFI's Support Programs Stifle Bank Lending in Africa" at the World Bank headquarters in Paris (closed meeting).

This event will discuss regional and global policy initiatives to incentivise shipping decarbonisation and how they can be used as a source of climate finance in a manner that is just and fair for vulnerable countries.
