The FERDI Impact Investing chair is dedicated to researching the impact investing sector in Africa to address the need for more knowledge. Its first task was to map the sector based on various criteria defining impact investing, identifying over 250 active investors on the continent.
To share its first findings and officially inaugurate the Chair, FERDI organised a roundtable with the key actors in African impact investing. This event showcased the Chair's mapping and insights, and facilitated discussions between researchers and professionals about structuring and advancing impact investing in Africa, especially in Francophone regions. The importance and challenges of this sector for the continent's development were central to the discussions.
The conference aimed to enhance debates on current issues in African impact investing and provide recommendations for the sector's growth. It also sought to identify challenges that will shape the Chair's agenda, establishing it as a key player in analyzing this sector's mechanisms in Africa.
Conference organised by the FERDI Impact Investing chair and the Université internationale de Côte d'Ivoire.
