    Biographie

    Having served as Chairman of Investisseurs & Partenaires between 2011 and 2021, Jean-Michel Severino has been Chairman of I&P's Supervisory Board since October 2021. This board also includes Olivier Lafourcade (long-standing advisor and minority shareholder of I&P) and Bagoré Bathily (founder and CEO of Laiterie du Berger in Senegal, one of I&P's first investments).

    Since joining I&P, Jean-Michel Severino has dedicated himself to the emerging field of impact investing, with the aim of supporting the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa.

    Mr. Severino's career has been essentially focused on international development and financing: he was Director of Development at the French Ministry of Cooperation, Vice-President for East Asia at the World Bank (1996-2000), and Chief Executive Officer of Agence Française de Développement (AFD) from 2001 to 2010.
