Africa Resilience Forum

Patrick Guillaumont and Tertius Zongo were speakers on issues related to the security-development-humanitarian nexus, the challenges and opportunities of the Sahel and Lake Chad regions.

The Africa Resilience Forum is organised by the African Development Bank and it aims to explore and discuss the innovative options contributing to the implementation of the Bank's five strategic priorities, called High 5: Light up & power Africa, Feed Africa, Industrialize Africa , Integrate Africa, Improve the quality of life for the people of Africa.

Organised on February 8- 9, 2018 in Abidjan, the second edition of the Forum hosted more than 300 people on the theme “Building Resilience at the Bottom of the Pyramid.”

Tertius Zongo, former Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Senior Fellow Ferdi and African head of the Sahel Chair [link to the page] spoke at the plenary session "Creating an enabling environment for scaling up financing of commercially viable solutions at the community level" and on the parallel workshop devoted to the challenges and opportunities of the Sahel and Lake Chad regions.
