It covers the whole range of integration issues, from the impact of monetary zones and multilateral surveillance of macro-economic policies to infrastructure, and fiscal and trade policies.
Since 2011, when the study "Assessing the expected gains from regional integration in African franc zone countries" was published, Ferdi has regularly questioned the capacity of regional integration to be an instrument of resilience and the consequences of franc zone membership for African countries in terms of economic growth and poverty reduction.
The foundation is collaborating with WAEMU, CEMAC, the Banque de France, and the African Development Bank to produce research to support the strengthening of regional integration through Community policies.
