Biographie

Patrick Plane is a research director at CNRS and an associate professor at the University of Clermont Auvergne.

He was Director of CERDI from 2000 to 2013, and a member of the United Nations Committee for Development Policy (CDP) from 2010 to 2016.

He specializes in public reforms, privatization processes, and public-private partnerships in developing countries. He also works on national and territorial competitiveness issues, including exchange rate policies, and in a more microeconomic dimension, on the analysis of the productivity of manufacturing firms in a context of integration into the global economy.

He is responsible for the Sustainable Competitiveness Observatory (OCD) program at FERDI and participates in the work in the framework of partnerships with WAEMU and CEMAC.
