    Biographie

    Specializing in development and education economics, Rohen d’Aiglepierre focused his work on education and employment in developing countries.

    His research focuses on the effectiveness of aid, the educational choices of households, the quality of educational institutions and the development of private education. He also studies exclusion, inclusion policies, public-private partnerships and migration. In connection with his research, Rohen d’Aiglepierre has worked to design and implement programs for educational equity. He has supported several government reforms in the field of education. Since 2004, he has worked on a regular basis with international organizations that are active on these issues: UNICEF, the World Bank, the European Commission. He also worked in the Ministries of Education in Madagascar and Burkina Faso.

    Rohen has a PhD in Economics from the Center of Studies and Research on International Development (CERDI) at the University of Clermont Auvergne. He joined AFD’s research teams from 2014 to 2019. He is since based in Brazzaville, where he is responsible for the Human Development division of AFD offices in the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and regional education expert for Central Africa.
