Visit of a delegation from the Ministry of Health of Cameroon and the University of Yaoundé II to FERDI

FERDI and the Institute for Advanced Studies in Sustainable Development (IHEDD-FERDI) welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Public Health of Cameroon and the University of Yaoundé II, as part of a collaborative project in training and research in health economics.

This cooperation aims to support the Cameroonian authorities in the design, implementation, and evaluation of public health policies, with particular attention to universal health coverage.

Towards a Cooperation in Health Economics in Cameroon

The Cameroonian delegation was composed of institutional and academic leaders involved in public health policy and training in health economics:

  • Prof. Désiré Avom, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, University of Yaoundé II
  • Dr. Ousmane Diaby, Director of Studies and Projects, Ministry of Public Health
  • Mr. Stephan Assako Mebale, International Technical Expert, Expertise France
  • Dr. Annicet Mintop, Coordinator of the National Technical Unit for the Implementation of Universal Health Coverage
  • Prof. Youssouf Nvuh Njoya, Deputy Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Health Economics, University of Yaoundé II

FERDI and IHEDD-FERDI warmly thank their partners for the depth of the discussions and their strong commitment to a sustainable and structured partnership in support of health system development in Cameroon.
