Anne-Marie Geourjon (FERDI), Émilie Caldeira (University of Clermont Auvergne, CNRS, CERDI) & Bertrand Laporte (University of Clermont Auvergne, CNRS, IRD, CERDI) presented the study which aimed to assess the fiscal and economic impact of the full implementation of the ECOWAS Common External Tariff (CET) as of January 1, 2023, and to propose guidelines to improve revenue mobilization and fiscal transition.

This mission was conducted as part of the impact study on the implementation of the ECOWAS Common External Tariff (CET) in the Republic of Guinea, for which Ferdi was commissioned by the European Union and Expertise France.

The main objective of this study was to assess the fiscal and economic impact of the full implementation of the ECOWAS Common External Tariff (CET) as of January 1, 2023, and to propose guidelines for improving revenue mobilization and fiscal transition. The ECOWAS CET has been progressively implemented in the Republic of Guinea since January 1, 2017. 

During this mission, the draft report was presented, discussed, and finalized on site.
