Jean-Claude Berthelemy (Université Paris 1, Ferdi) and Serena Barès (Électriciens sans frontières) present four articles on the Cafés Lumière project in Madagascar. They compare the results of different alternative evaluation methods carried out at an affordable cost to assess the project's positive impact on development objectives.

The article presents the economic impacts observed in the areas where Lumières cafés have been established. It highlights the channels through which access to electricity affects sustainable development objectives.
