Geopolitical Shifts, Economic and Financial Fragmentation - Volume 1. The Era of Disruption

Under the co-editorship of Bruno Cabrillac, Director General of the Foundation for Studies and Research on International Development (FERDI) and former Deputy Director General of the Banque de France, and Pierre Jaillet, former Director General for Economics and International Relations at the Banque de France, adviser to the Jacques Delors Institute – Notre Europe, and associate researcher at IRIS, issues 160 and 161 are devoted to geopolitical shifts and their geo-economic consequences.

The first volume (“The Era of Disruption”) analyzes the geo-economic consequences of a systemic “polycrisis”, which has revealed the tensions generated by a phase of rapid globalization combined with economic disruption.

FERDI was closely involved in both issues, which were co-edited by its Director General, Bruno Cabrillac, who also co-authored the introductions to the two volumes.

In this first issue, Matthieu Boussichas co-authored an article with Bruno Cabrillac entitled “Is Africa a Victim or Beneficiary of Geopolitical and Geoeconomic Tensions?”. Martial Foucault, a member of the new Chair in Strategic Resource Governance, also contributed a remarkable article entitled “Weaponized Interdependence: The Return of Economic Geostrategy”.
