Workshop organized by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (Fragility unit of the Democratic goverance mission) and FERDI (Sahel Chair).

Jaime de Melo, Scientific Advisor at FERDI and Professor Emeritus of the University of Geneva was a panelist at the session on market access conditions and trade costs faced by new products.

Within the framework of the Labex IDGM+, FERDI in partnership with CERDI launched the "Development Policy Meetings" between public decision-makers or leading political figures and interested public, in particular students from CERDI Université Clermont Auvergne.

With the participation of Anne-Marie Geourjon, Head of programme at FERDI, expert for the IMF and associate researcher at CERDI- Université Clermont Auvergne.

Patrick Guillaumont was a panelist for the session "Learning from 30 years of commodity development". He also presented the book "Out of the trap. Supporting the least developed countries."

As part of its partnership agreement with the WAEMU Commission, FERDI has received a delegation of executives from the Commission in Clermont-Ferrand from 2 to 13 December 2019.

On 20 and 21 November 2019, the G5 Sahel Permanent Secretariat and the Sahel Chair organized a workshop to clarify the methodology for a study on security spending and its crowding-out effects on the financing of development spending in G5 Sahel member countries.

Exchanges on Ferdi's research programs and presentation of the paper "Digital vulnerability and performance of firms in developing and transition countries" by Joël Cariolle.

On November 14, 2019, the book Out of the Trap. Supporting the least developed countries was launched at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in collaboration with the Office of the United Nations High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) and LDC IV Monitor.

The CLUB-ER and FERDI within the framework of IDGM organized a workshop to share with researchers and practitioners advances in identifying and measuring the impacts of decentralized electrification projects.

On Monday, November 11, 2019, in Ouagadougou, was held a ceremony to launch the 2019 session of the Health Economics Training: "Strengthening Health Systems and Policies against Infectious Diseases".
