West-African Digital Transformations Forum

The event is organised by the Foundation for Studies and Research on International Development (FERDI), the Global Development Network (GDN), the Centre for Studies and Research on International Development (CERDI - Université Clermont Auvergne, CNRS, IRD), the African Center for Equitable Development (ACED), and the African School of Economics. The event is supported by the Clermont-Ferrand International Development Hub (PCDI).

This forum will bring together researchers, public institutions, international organizations, and digital sector stakeholders to discuss recent research on digital transformations in West Africa and their implications for public policy.

The Forum is a three-day, in-person event and will be structured around three complementary pillars: 

• Day 1 - Research Lab focused on the development of new projects and programs;
• Day 2 - Academic Workshop dedicated to the work of emerging African economists;
• Day 3 - Roundtables and panel discussions aimed at strengthening dialogue between research and digital policymakers .
