A research officer at FERDI, Joël Cariolle’s work focuses on digital issues in sub-Saharan Africa and other developing regions. He is the co-author, with J. Aker, of the book Mobile Phones and Development in Africa: Does the Evidence Meet the Hype? (Palgrave Studies in Agricultural Economics and Food Policy, Springer Nature).
