As part of the partnership between FERDI and the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS), a training session entitled “Four Key Issues for Analyzing Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Financing” was held on October 6, 7, and 8, 2025, at the Institute of Public Health in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The session brought together 61 participants, including teachers, master's students, and doctoral candidates, to discuss four major themes presented by Jacky Mathonnat, Senior Fellow and Head of FERDI's Health Program: measuring UHC financing, the use of health taxes, labor taxation, and equity.

On October 9, a conference organized by MNUMS on Hospital Management presented the results of efficiency analyses of healthcare structures and their usefulness for public decision-makers.

Discussions with MNUMS authorities also focused on the implementation of the new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on October 9, aimed at strengthening joint training and research activities in health economics.
