Parallel Session organized by the Ferdi on the issue : "Reforming the Allocation Aid Criteria and Addressing the Vulnerability Issue"



The ABCDE 2010 Conference (Annual Bank Conferences on Development Economics) held in Stockholm on May 31-June 2 on the issue "Development Challenges in Post-Crisis World". It was organized by the World Bank and the Swedish Government (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

The Ferdi organized the parallel session  "Reforming the Aid Allocation Criteria and Adressing the Vulnerability Issue". During this session, chaired by Bernard Petit, Former Deputy Director General of Developpement, European Commission, three papers were presented :

  • "How to take into account vulnerability in aid allocation criteria, and lack of human capital as well : improving the performance based allocation" par Patrick Guillaumont, Sylviane Guillaumont Jeanneney et Laurent Wagner (CERDI/Ferdi)
  • "Performance Assesment, Vulnerability, Human Capital and the allocation of Aid Among Countries" par Mark McGillivray (ADRI et AusAID), Patrick Guillaumont et Laurent Wagner (Cerdi/Ferdi)
  • Désiré Vencatachellum (Banque Africaine de Développement)
