This first report of the Sahel Alliance provides an opportunity to take stock of its action, to highlight the innovative approaches developed and the challenges to be met and to show the impactof the projects financed.

FERDI was closely involved in the drafting of this report. Tertius Zongo, director of the Sahel Chair, wrote an article on the central issue of accountability towards the beneficiary populations.
