LDC Future Forum 2025

The LDC Future Forum 2025 is the third edition of a strategic dialogue space dedicated to the future of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs). Its main objective is to bring together policymakers, researchers, private sector representatives, and other stakeholders to discuss innovative solutions and concrete policy recommendations aimed at strengthening the resilience of LDCs to current and future systemic shocks.

A particular focus is placed on gender equality and the active participation of women to promote the development of inclusive, effective, and sustainable responses.

FERDI Intervention: Monitoring and Implementation of the Doha Action Programme (DPoA)

On April 3, UN-OHRLLS, FERDI, UNU-Wider, and the OECD Development Centre organized a roundtable on the monitoring and implementation of the Doha Action Programme (DPoA).

This session followed the launch of the LDC5 Monitor at the Doha Conference in 2023 and its mobilization at the 2024 Future Forum in Helsinki. It provided an opportunity to discuss strategies for strengthening monitoring and evaluation mechanisms at the national, regional, and global levels, with a view to assessing progress in the implementation of the Doha Action Programme (DPoA).

The discussions focused on how to:

  • Effectively coordinate the implementation of the DPoA;
  • Strengthen accountability for the commitments made;
  • Mobilize consistent international support, aligned with other global sustainable development processes.
