Jacky Mathonnat's mission to the University of Botswana School of Public Health and the Ministry of Health and Welfare

February 11, 2022 > February 18, 2022, Botswana

For nearly 10 years, Ferdi has been collaborating with the University of Botswana to strengthen the health economics skills of physicians training at the School of Public Health who are destined for positions of responsibility in health care facilities or in the administrations of the health system, and who are called upon more generally to contribute to the definition and implementation of health policy.

A new program financed by the MEAE and ADESFA is underway, integrating an applied research project in collaboration with the Ministry of Health & Wellness on the analysis of the efficiency of first-level care structures. This theme is one of the strong points of Ferdi's health program.

After China, Zimbabwe, Mongolia, and Burkina Faso, Botswana is the fifth country in which Ferdi is working with local authorities to build capacity in efficiency analysis, a key issue for improving the resilience of health systems.
