A central challenge in an uncertain global context
In a context marked by a growing number of shocks — geopolitical, economic, climatic, and technological — resilience has become a key challenge for the Tunisian economy. Strengthening the capacity to absorb, adapt to, and recover from shocks is now essential to restore sustainable growth and secure long-term development trajectories.
An innovative tool for measuring resilience
As part of a mentoring programme with FERDI, a partner in the “Savoirs Éco” project, ITCEQ has developed an innovative analytical framework.
This framework is based on two composite indices that make it possible to assess the resilience of the Tunisian economy, track its evolution over time, and compare it with that of other countries.
This work has resulted in a policy brief entitled “Resilience of the Tunisian Economy: Measurement and International Positioning”, aimed at informing public policy and identifying levers for improvement in the face of shocks.

The “Savoirs Éco en Tunisie” project, funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France, aims to strengthen public debate on economic issues by supporting economic knowledge-producing structures (SPSEs).
As part of this initiative, FERDI is implementing a mentoring programme designed to support these organisations over a seven-month period.
This programme aims to support the production, dissemination, and promotion of rigorous and accessible analyses on economic and sustainable development issues in Tunisia.
