An Index of Physical Vulnerability to Climate Change

The purpose of this event is to bring together researchers and policy makers on the design and potential operational use of a vulnerability to climate change index. During the workshop, participants will discuss issues raised by the construction of such an index, particularly with the view of using this index for policy purposes. The use of the index for the allocation of adaptation resources will be considered. Its relevance as an instrument to support national climate strategies will also be examined.
