The Caisse des dépôts et consignations and the Africa Europe Foundation, organizers of this round table, invited Florian Léon (FERDI) to present his report entitled: "The Role of Deposit Funds in Mobilising Domestic Private Resources for Development Financing."
Speaking during the panel “Mobilising Domestic Resources: An Untapped Potential,” Florian Léon highlighted the potential of private resources for development, as well as the capacity of deposit funds to mobilize these resources.
He also recalled the main points from the first part of the report, notably:
- the financial challenges related to development financing;
- the difficulty of mobilising external flows, both public and private;
- the need to improve the mobilisation of domestic resources, both public and private.
