Director of Climate Finance Access at the Center for Sustainable Finance, World Resources Institute (WRI)
A native of Sweden, Gaia Larsen is Director of the Climate Finance Access Programme at WRI’s Center for Sustainable Finance, where she works to ensure that developing countries can access climate finance. A trained lawyer, she focuses primarily on directing investments towards initiatives that protect both people and the environment.
At WRI, her work spans multiple areas, including environmental democracy, climate finance, and the extractive industries. Prior to joining WRI, Gaia was a researcher at the Institute for Policy Integrity at New York University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law.
