Summary Report - The role of Caisses de dépôt in mobilising domestic private resources for development financing

The Fondation pour les études et recherches pour le développement international (FERDI) has published a report on the potential of deposit banks to mobilize domestic private resources to finance sustainable development in Africa. The report was presented on December 2, 2025, in Mauritania during the 8th International Conference of the Forum of Deposit Banks.

Caisse des Dépôts and its subsidiaries form a public group that acts as a long-term investor serving the public interest and promoting regional economic development.

It has five areas of expertise: social policies (retirement, vocational training, disability, elderly care, and health), asset management, monitoring of subsidiaries and investments, corporate financing (with Bpifrance), and the Banque des Territoires.
