Matthieu Boussichas, Program Manager at Ferdi, will be a panelist at this event organized by the Finance in Common initiative (FICS)

Florian Léon, a research offiicer at FERDI, will present the paper "Blended Binds: How DFI's Support Programs Stifle Bank Lending in Africa" at the World Bank headquarters in Paris (closed meeting).

This event will discuss regional and global policy initiatives to incentivise shipping decarbonisation and how they can be used as a source of climate finance in a manner that is just and fair for vulnerable countries.

Edouard Mien, a research officer at FERDI, presented the paper "Navigating International Taxation: The Effects of a Carbon Levy on Shipping," co-authored with Vianney Dequiedt and Audrey-Anne de Ubeda, at the International Center for Research on Environment and Development (CIRED).

Dans le cadre du Village des Sciences organisé par l'Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA) Edouard Mien, chargé de recherche à la Ferdi, est intervenu auprès de deux classes de seconde du Lycée Massillon de Clermont et du Lycée Jean Zay de Thiers. Cet événement s'inscrit dans le programme de la Fête de la Science, qui vise à rapprocher les chercheurs et les lycéens autour de thèmes scientifiques d'actualité.

Vianney Dequiedt, directeur scientifique à la Ferdi et co-auteur de l'article intitulé "Navigating International Taxation: the Effects of a Carbon Levy on Shipping", a récemment présenté ses travaux le 3 octobre à l'Université Paris Dauphine.

FERDI, in collaboration with the OECD, organised a webinar to mark the publication of the OECD's 2024 report on multilateral development finance.

Side-Event to the Summit of the Future Action Days

The webinar on the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) Resilience and Sustainability Facility highlighted the experience of African countries eligible for this financing.

COP28 side-event organised by the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States, the Foundation for Studies and Research on International Development (FERDI), the Overseas Countries and Territories Association (OCTA), the UK Overseas territories association (UKOTA), the Green Overseas (GO) Programme.

Patrick Guillaumont, Chairman of FERDI, was invited to participate in a Chatham House roundtable discussion at the Paris Peace Forum. The discussions centered around the topic "Towards a world without poverty in a preserved planet: what criteria for allocating concessional financing?"
