Jean-Marc Gravellini, the Head of the "Agricultural Modernization Policies in Africa" Chair at Ferdi, participated in the workshop on natural resource governance, during which he emphasized the challenges related to natural resources in Africa. Jacky Mathonnat, Senior Fellow in charge of the Health Program at FERDI, presented the results of a study on the efficiency of a sample of family health centers (FHCs) and shared policy implications with stakeholders.

The Institute for Advanced Studies in Sustainable Development (IHEDD-FERDI) and the World Customs Organisation (WCO) organised a workshop to discuss the issues raised by the use of GenAI in administrations.

The official launch of the "Savoirs Éco en Tunisie" project was scheduled for October 17, 2023, in the heart of Tunis, at IHEC Carthage. It was attended by official authorities, project beneficiaries, technical and financial partners, civil society, and the media.

Yasmine Elkhateeb from the Centre d'Économie de la Sorbonne, Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, and University of Cairo presented the paper titled "(Mis-)Information Technology: Internet Use and Perception of Democracy in Africa". This paper is co-authored with Joël Cariolle of FERDI, and Mathilde Maurel, Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Patrick Guillaumont, President of FERDI, notably chaired and moderated the first session, which focused on monetary and exchange rate policies in the context of climate change.
