Conference 'The impact of the trade war on the region and Mauritius - Roundtable

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, Jaime de Melo took part in the conference organized by the University of Mauritius, held on its campus in Moka.

Jaime de Melo, Scientific Advisor at FERDI and Emeritus Professor at the University of Geneva, spoke during this roundtable to address the theme of the fragility of the global trading system under attack from geopolitical conflicts.

He then took part in a stimulating discussion on the potential impacts of the trade war on the region and Mauritius, alongside Dr. Myriam Blin (Charles Telfair Centre), Neetish Hurry (International Economics Consulting Ltd), Lilowtee Rajmun-Jooseery (Mauritius Export Association), Dr. Narainduth Boodhoo (Regional Integration and International Trade – Government of Mauritius), and Dr. Riad Sultan (University of Mauritius).
