     On May 27, 2025, a hearing was held by Senators Michel Canévet and Raphaël Daubet, special rapporteurs for the budgetary mission “Official Development Assistance” within the Commission des Finances du Sénat. This hearing was part of the oversight work carried out by the rapporteurs under Article 57 of the Organic Law on Finance Acts. 

    The purpose of the hearing was to examine how migration issues are taken into account in France’s development policy. This topic lies at the heart of current concerns regarding official development assistance and international cooperation.

    • Mr. Philippe Marchesin, Senior Lecturer at Université Paris 1

    The discussion focused on the integration of migration issues into France’s development policy.
