Each year, the Global Development Network (GDN), a public institution that supports policy research in developing and transition countries, organises a conference that provides an opportunity for developing country researchers to disseminate their work, interact with world-renowned academics and policymakers, and network on a global scale.
This prestigious event, which offers high-level debates on current development challenges and priorities, was held for the first time in Clermont-Ferrand and is being broadcast around the world.
250 participants were in Clermont-Ferrand, and 900 attendees online.
Among the many topics discussed were: mobilising domestic resources, tax policies and sustainable development objectives, tax expenditures, taxation and the environment, etc.
This conference was organised in partnership with the Foundation for International Development Studies and Research (Ferdi), the Centre for International Development Studies and Research (Cerdi, University of Clermont Auvergne - CNRS -IRD), the University of Clermont Auvergne, the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, the French Development Agency and the Hewlett Foundation
