Measures of export diversification

The originality of this work done by Céline Carrère, Olivier Cadot and Vanessa Strauss-Kahn is to compute indicators of export diversification by using a large base of disaggregated data.

These data on exports come from the COMTRADE database (UNCTAD) at the level HS6 (4991 product lines). These indicators are calculated for 156 countries from 1988 to 2006 (19 years), providing a description of how trade changes over time and differs between countries.
