Preferential Market Access Design: Evidence and Lessons from African Apparel Exports to the United States and the European Union

This new measure, an outcome from theorical work, takes into account competition between non-EU commercial partners, but also the competition of these partners with the European producers.
Preference margins are calculated for each partner-country / product pair, from a base of 222 margins for the year 2008. These results are available in the database below, with those of two other more classical measures of these margins.
