From 15 to 18 April 2019, the ECOSOC organized the Financing for Development Forum.
Matthieu Boussichas, Programme Manager at Ferdi was a panelist at the parallel session "Innovative financing for sustainable development: Scale and impact" organized by the Leading Group on Innovative Financing for Development (Governments of Japan, France, Germany, India) in cooperation with UNDP.
This side event provided an opportunity to present already implemented and emerging innovative financing mechanisms and to discuss their progress and potential as well as challenges they are facing to finance the SDGs. Among others, participants especially shed light on solidarity taxes, blended finance initiatives, as well as new developments and opportunities in the Impact Investing market.
