From May to July 2016, Canada has organised several consultations to review its international assistance policy and funding framework. The aim is to rethink Canada’s international assistance policies and programs to respond better to the challenges and opportunities of the new global context. The consultations assist in making the canada's approach, investments and partnerships more innovative and effective. A special emphasis is placed on women and girls and applying a feminist lens to all of Canada’s international assistance activities.
Matthieu Boussichas, Programme Manager at Ferdi, participated in the consultation organised by the Canada's embassy in Paris on 7 July, 2016. The discussion focused on innovative partnership and development assistance; gender and Health and rights of women and children; Clean economic growth and climate change.
