This 4th workshop focused on the use of geospatial data and machine learning techniques for tax and customs administrations.
This meeting was organized within the framework of the DATAFID project, supported by Expertise France, the purpose of which is to improve knowledge of the digital economy and its impacts and to strengthen the capacities of tax and customs administrations through better use of data science.
FERDI, through the Institut des Hautes Etudes du Développement Durable, has been mandated to create a complete and adapted training offer. The IHEDD offers a distance training offer (e-learning) which will be open at the end of the co-construction process to all interested tax and customs administrations.
The objective of the training component of the DATAFID project is to produce, in partnership with the customs and tax administrations, a distance training course allowing:
(i) raise awareness of the possible uses of data to support enforcement and domestic resource mobilization strategies;
ii) to allow the taking in hand of the methods and tools making it possible to do it effectively.
To do this, the project relies on strong collaboration between academic research, international expertise and customs and tax administrations.
