Events of project 'Taxation of International Transport'

This Official UNFCCC side-event will discuss regional and global policy initiatives to incentivise shipping decarbonisation and how they can be used as a source of climate finance in a manner that is just and fair for vulnerable countries.

Edouard Mien, a research officer at FERDI, presented the paper "Navigating International Taxation: The Effects of a Carbon Levy on Shipping," co-authored with Vianney Dequiedt and Audrey-Anne de Ubeda, at the International Center for Research on Environment and Development (CIRED).
